Giving birth is the ultimate goal for couples, but from the modern perspective, it is obvious that a pregnancy must be well-prepared in advance. Due to the lack of early preparation, even a small pregnancy condition may be missed. During the preparation period, the house must be ready, so should you prepare for pregnancy after preparing the same room?
If couples are ready to conceive, they must first ensure each other’s rest and sleep quality, as well as having good living and rest habits. In the first three months before pregnancy, couples need to quit smoking and drinking, and be careful to supplement rich folic acid tablets and high-quality protein with a balanced diet to ensure nutrition.
1. Ensure rest and sleep quality: Make sure to get enough sleep every day, otherwise your immune system may be affected, and male hormones may be destroyed, which is harmful to pregnancy. Give yourself a relaxed mood. Don’t work too hard for yourself, and try yoga to release stress and exercise.
2. Quit smoking and drinking: The harm of alcohol to male sperm has long been known, and the various harmful substances in tobacco can also destroy male sperm. Drinking and smoking should be stopped at least three months before pregnancy.
3. Folic acid tablets: Folic acid tablets play a very important role in the physical and mental health of babies’ growth and development. The lack of folic acid tablets may cause fetal brain development to be incomplete or abnormal, and women need to ingest a large amount of folic acid tablets in the first three months of pregnancy. Foods that contain folic acid include chestnuts, shepherd’s purse, cauliflower, oil, wheat vegetables, yellow flower vegetables, green vegetables, etc. 0.4mg of folic acid tablets should be supplemented daily at the beginning of pregnancy.
4. Supplementing with calcium and zinc: Calcium is the main component of bones and teeth and cannot be lacking in the whole process of fetal development, and it consumes more substances. Foods with high calcium content include milk, beans, eggs, seafood products, and bone soup, etc. Zinc and calcium should be supplemented only when preparing for pregnancy, and 800mg of calcium needs to be supplemented daily.
